It is a great day for India. We are all set to get a medal in the London Olympics. Looking at the track of the game in which our star player Gagan Narang is playing, it is sure that we are getting a medal this time. is an ace Indian shooter. Interestingly, He is the first Indian to qualify for the London Olympics and the hopes raised from that point itself.

Gagan Narang bagged the Padma Shree Award in 2010 in recognition to the various achievements he bagged. In addition to this, Gagan Narang has been selected for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award for 2010, which is the highest sports award in the country. Thats not all, the star shooter was conferred the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna by the then President Pratibha Patil on August 29 2011.

At the recently concluded2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, Gagan Narang added 4 gold medals. Although the event was very controversial due to the scam exposed leading the top boss Suresh Kalmadi being arrested, he was one of the persons who brought cheer to the people.
